The estate
Eighteen hectares on a single south-facing coteau — and five generations that have refused to plant one row more.
The hill was planted in 1874 by a schoolteacher who inherited it and could not bear to sell. Nothing about the estate has grown since — not the acreage, not the yields, not the ambition to be anywhere but here. What has deepened is the reading of the ground: which parcel ripens first, which holds acidity into a hot September, which vine, now old, gives four handfuls of fruit worth more than a whole young row.
We farm by hand and by eye. The cellar is cool and unhurried, cut into the limestone the vines root through. We make one white, three reds, and — in the years that earn it — a single late-harvest cuvée. Everything is estate-grown, foot-of-the-hill to bottle. Nothing is bought in.

The estate white — picked cool at first light, whole-bunch pressed, left long on its lees. Quince, chalk and a saline finish.

2019
From vines planted a century ago — four handfuls a vine, co-fermented as they grow. Dark, fine-boned, built for the long keep.

One walled parcel on the cold north edge, picked last. Perfumed and mineral, tannin like fine wire — the estate at its most precise.
Late Harvest
2018
Only in the years that earn it — grapes laid on straw to raisin, then pressed to a spoonful each. Apricot, honey, and a line of acid that keeps it from cloying.
